Professional Biography

William N. Thomas, IV has been an educator and educational administrator in Washington, DC for the past fourteen years. He recently served as a Biology teacher at Ron Brown College Preparatory High School, a restorative justice public school that supports the social and emotional development of young men of color. His service leadership and approach to professional development is grounded in a growth mindset that promotes reciprocal development through open communication, management techniques, trust, motivation and accountability. William currently serves as the Director of Science for the Master Charter Schools in Philadelphia, PA.

He has taught exclusively in DC charter schools since 2004. William was promoted to principal in 2012 and led a Tier 1 elementary school for two years. He also served as the Director of High School Programs for Paul International High School and helped the school in the development of a 21st century international studies program for their first graduating class in 2016.
