Professional Biography

Professionally, I currently work within executive search assisting venture capital and private equity-backed companies find and place leading candidates within their respective sector. Additionally, I also serve as an educational consultant assisting institutions, non-profits, and private sector clients to understand the hardships of their most vulnerable populations by creating and implementing workshops as well as advising on best policies and practices aimed at creating equality throughout their respective organizations.

Research Interests and Current Projects

My dissertation looked at how first-generation low-income (fgli) students at an elite postsecondary institution understood their lived experience and how that experience assisted in formulating their sense of belonging before and during the covid-19 pandemic. This study was pertinent as there is a litany of studies focused on this student population at proprietary, 2-year and less selective postsecondary institutions. Whereas there is very limited scholarly research on this population at the nations leading institutions. Additionally, as a tech enthusiast, my research also takes a deep dive into how new technologies are assisting and/or diminishing the experience of students from marginalized communities.
